 You asked for Love and Respect material again, and we listened! Starting September 10th-October 29th we will be having a Dessert and Date Night Series on Love and Respect by Emerson Eggerichs. Marriage Retreat:

Is an annual event each Fall where couples have the opportunity to travel out of town for a weekend of renewal, refreshment, and learning to better their marriage relationship.

 Tentative dates for 2010 are November 5-7th. Watch for more info.

Prepare to Last (formerly Relationship Builders) is a 10 week class in a small group format designed for couples who are engaged or in a serious relationship. Classes are offered three times per year and are required for couples who want to be married by a Canyon View Pastor. $80 per couple.

• Couples who attend an extensive pre-marital training course have a divorce rate 50% lower than couples who do not
• Couples who were willing to seek counseling before and during their first three years of marriage were found to have less chance of divorce

Marriage Mentoring:
This is a ministry to give couples perspective and wisdom through trying times in their marriage. Peer counseling is also available.

Groups
These may focus on marriage and how to better your relationship as husband and wife.

Couple's Events:
Several times per year, marriage ministry hosts fun events for couples to get out and meet other married couples,such as the Sadie Hawkins Dance in March 2010 or a teaching night (June 2010)

Marriage Keepers.

This is a new ministry beginning March 2010. If you’re getting married and attending CVVC (or even if you don’t attend here, but have an interest) we will assign a mentor couple to you, give you a magnet with their picture and contact info and they will be in touch with you 4-6 weeks after your marriage. They will walk with you for the 1st year of your marriage and initiate times together just to encourage you and your marriage.
