Framework for Understanding Poverty

February 21, 2009, Saturday, 9:00 – 3:00 pm
- This one-day workshop will provide an enlightened understanding of the hidden rules of poverty and how generational poverty impacts families. It will teach practical ways on how to build relationships and reach those who are part of this culture.

Held in Fellowship Hall

Grief Share (13 wks)
- A special seminar for people grieving the loss of a loved one. This group is facilitated by people who understand what you are experiencing and want to offer you comfort and encouragement during this difficult time.

Divorce Care (13 wks)
- There aren’t many people around you who understand the pain your separation or divorce has caused. Through this class you’ll learn how to deal with the pain of the past and look forward to rebuilding your future.

Boundaries in Marriage (8 wks)
- Life changing insights on why boundaries are vital to a healthy marriage and how each partner can establish them. Participants can pick up Boundaries in Marriage Participants Guide at The Connection Bookstore prior to class.

Breaking Free (6 wks)

- Stressed, tense, angry, experiencing self-rejection, recognize destructive generational patterns, have scars from trauma or addiction? God’s Grace & Truth Sets us Free! Taught by Elder Glenn Brown, held in the Chapel

 

How People Grow (10 – 12 wks) 

 

– Using Biblical principles and a keen understanding of human nature, this Cloud/Townsend study will provide a practical approach to helping you grow emotionally and spiritually.  It shatters popular misconceptions about how God operates and shows that growth is not about self-actualization, but about God’s sanctification. If you want to be challenged, this class is for you!
