Dear Canyon View Family,
As many of you know we have been asked by the local Food Bank to partner with them as a distribution site to give food to those that are shut-ins in our community. Right now we have 110 requests for food to be delivered on Sunday and the number will more than likely spike up dramatically.
So for those of you that are not showing any symptoms of illness and are not in the high risk categories, we want to invite you to volunteer to make sure the food boxes get distributed on Sunday. This amazing opportunity to serve our community begins at 10 am on Sunday at the Young Adult building and will go until 12 noon.
We will encourage you to deliver the food to the person’s residence and utilize social distancing principles during your interactions with the person(s). As of today we only have 8 people that have communicated with us that they will be showing up to help so there is plenty of opportunity for you to come help.

As the Prophet Isaiah spoke from the Lord, “"Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke? Is it not to share your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into your house; when you see the naked, to cover him, and not to hide yourself from your own flesh?” Isaiah 58:6-7
This is an unprecedented opportunity for us to live this Biblical principle out in a practical way during this Coronavirus Pandemic. This is another example of what makes CVVC such a wonderful church. It is such a privilege to serve our community with you all.
