A letter from the Leadership Team of Canyon View Vineyard Church:
We are excited to welcome the congregants of our church on May 31st. This weekend, we will have services online only. As we approach the Memorial Day Weekend, the leadership of Canyon View will convene to discuss best practices and precautions to assure gathering in person happens as safely as possible. Tune in to our social media platforms and via email (for those in our member database) for information on how we will continue forward to welcome people to campus starting May 31st.
For our key leaders, an invitation is given to you to join us this Thursday at 6:30pm in the Main Auditorium for a meeting on how we will be moving forward with intentionality to serve our community as we cautiously move toward re-opening. Have a great Memorial Day Weekend and we look forward to seeing you soon.
Due to the strict focus on social distancing and the size of our weekend attendance, as of 3:30 PM on May 22nd, we will be hosting online only services for May 24th but will plan on doing in person services May 31st weekend. More details will come on Tuesday, May 26th.
We will have video of worship, announcements, and message available on Facebook, YouTube, and our website at 9 am every Sunday. Starting May 23rd, we are starting a new format for weekend services. We will have a 35 minute live experience at 4 pm Saturday, and Sunday at 9 am and 11 am. Worship, Message, just in a smaller size. We are doing this, because we are adding discipleship material for individuals, families, and cell groups via YouTube. If you are reading this email, you will be sent a link on Sunday evening at 5 pm to be able to utilize that content the ways you see fit for your spiritual needs and discipleship journey. This content will consist of 5-7 minutes of the weekend pastor going deeper into the weekend content, questions for you, your family, or your cell group to consider, and then a worship song to reflect upon the truths we shared with you. We so hope this content is of benefit to you, and pray it helps you continue to grow spiritually with the Lord.
Also, we start a brand new series this weekend called "The Great Unknown." As we venture through the current unknown landscape we find ourselves in, we can be assured that God has already walked these roads with His people and has proven Himself faithful time and time again. Join us in this series as we navigate the stories of the Bible that have shown God pave the way, and lead our way, through the great unknown. We will see their stories, and reflect upon what they mean for us today. We can’t wait to see you online!
All sermons and midweek content can be viewed on our SERMONS page!
We encourage you to watch service as a family or a cell group of 10 or less. For more information on weekend services contact Pastor Tim Brown at email@example.com.
Canyon View Kids
We have always strived for Canyon View to be a place of service to families in their responsibility of developing the faith of their children. Coronavirus will not stop our mission in doing that. If you go to Canyon View Kids Facebook Page, you will see all kinds of fun ways we are trying to engage with your kids. We have made videos for Super Church (these can be found on our Canyon View Kids YouTube Channel), we have parents signing up for packets with that week's craft, and we also have fun family challenges going on!
If you have any questions, please contact Olivia Clifford our Children's Director at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Canyon View Youth
CVVC Youth is encouraging any teens to join them on their CVVC Youth Facebook Page, Youth_CVVC Instagram. You will see downloadable/watchable/encouraging content for teens or anyone to go through together. Any questions, please contact our Youth Pastor Eric Gonzalez at email@example.com.
For the next couple weeks we encourage cell groups with an attendance of over ten people to multiply in to two or more groups to assure social distancing is respected and observed. This is an incredible time to lean into personal discipleship and meet one on one or even via FaceTime, Zoom, Google Hangouts or Skype! Our hope for cell groups is that community would build our spirituality which would build our discipleship to reach a lost and broken world. No virus stops that! For more questions, contact Marty Estes at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Gatherings & Classes
For the foreseeable future, we will not host campus gatherings, classes, children’s/youth services, events, or cell groups of any kind or size for simplicity sake. We will update when midweek activities reopen.
For more information, contact Rayna Tonini at email@example.com.
Keep up to date with our Facebook, Instagram, and Realm pages to be notified of new ways to serve our community during the coronavirus pandemic. For any questions or information on food distribution, outreach services, or other usual outreach happenings, contact Landon Miracle at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Remember, the church is a people, not a building. Be safe! But be creative as well. How can you utilize these unknown circumstances, to bring glory to God and bring those who live in fear and worry to a place of peace knowing the God we serve? This is an invitation for all of us to get out of the box and into the arena of reaching the unreached and making Jesus famous.
