Woven Families welcomes you, whether you are beginning to explore adoption and/or foster care, seeking encouragement on your adoption journey, hoping to discover resources after placement or learning more about ways you can support adoptive and foster care families. No matter where you are along your journey, we hope to connect with you.

Woven Families consists of families with adopted and foster children from countries including the United States, China, Korea, Haiti, Ethiopia, Russia, Guatemala and Uganda, and from all types of backgrounds, including older children adopted internationally and domestically. We have officially received the Foster Adoption Friendly Church certification from Project 1:27.

Woven Family Resources

Jane Yamaguchi is the Adoption Coordinator and in charge of CVVC's Woven Families ministry. She has first hand experience in adoption and has helped numerous families through their adoption journeys.
The Bear Necessities Program collects and distributes items for children and teens living in foster or kinship families between the ages of birth through 12. Items include clothing, diapers, furniture, toys and more.
Canyon View Vineyard Church has partnered with Project 1.27 to provide this service to our community.

Care Portal 

CarePortal is a technology connecting platform that brings the needs of hurting and vulnerable children and families in your community to your attention. Caseworkers uncover the needs. CarePortal makes local churches and community members aware, giving them a real-time opportunity to respond.When you join CarePortal, you’re saying “Yes” to connections that can change lives, transform communities and reverse the foster care crisis in our nation. Sign up to receive opportunities to meet tangible needs — like groceries, bus passes and bunk beds - or to pray for families. 

Want to help out with Woven Families?
  • Support adoptive families, waiting families, and those considering adoption through resources, mentoring, education, prayer, small groups, and relationships.
  • Promote and raise Awareness within our church about adoption and orphan needs domestically and internationally through media and Annual Orphan Sunday.
  • Provide Financial assistance and grants to families who desire to adopt and for adoptive families in need. 
  • Engage in Outreach projects to support orphans both locally and around the world through sponsorship and projects locally for foster children.
